Flushing Schedule

Periodically it is necessary for the Authority to clear our water mains of non-harmful sediment.  This cleaning is accomplished by opening the fire hydrants and allowing the water pressure to forcefully remove the sediment.

We have tentatively scheduled our flushing of the system for the following time period:

Monday, April 28, 2008 through Friday, May 9, 2008

Notification letters will be hand delivered one day prior in the area to be done.

While we are flushing in your area, you may experience low water pressure or when the water is first turned on in some homes, the water may show discoloration.  To clear the water discoloration, we recommend that you let the water run until it is clear.  We also recommend that you DO NOT WASH CLOTHES until your water is clear.
